What is Rolling Stops?
Rolling Stops celebrates the inherent value of aesthetic thinking and how it leads to art objects and experiences, and contributes to culture. While interested in a variety of mediums, Rolling Stops concentrates primarily on works that employ motion, such as time arts media (performance, film, video).

With the assumption that a critical view of the arts matters wherever you are, Rolling Stops considers art from anywhere, not just urban centers.  Rolling Stops bridges rural and urban experiences, scrutinizes the craftsmanship of technologically driven art as well as works of the hand, and honors carefully prepared gallery presentations in addition to spontaneous expressions in the street.

Rolling Stops is by Toni Matlock
I am an artist with degrees from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA), University of Washington (MFA) and University of Montana (MFA).  After years dedicated to works of the hand, I swerved into technology. I incorporate light, sound, and video into my sculpture and installations.  To see my art visit www.tonimatlock.com.  At salty snack studios, I partner with Bruce Tribbensee to build iPhone apps and make movies.  I also fix up old houses and advocate for the arts. I regularly blog about these and other things at Tonette Time.
